Recently I was listening to this artist new album “Inkwell” and I dug the whole vibe. Speaking with other artist from his camp like Obndz, Jada b etc... I‘m digging what this group of counterparts has going. My favorite track on his album was “From this point ft. Jada B”. So I decided to tap in and learn more about this artist.
This collective has the ability to make things pop for each other, even if they were to make a label. Team work is the only way to come out on top. Check out the full interview below:
Walk us through your background- Tell us more about you and your music
Kavius “KDZY” Haley is an atlanta Artist/song writer/engineer. Creating timeless music for the love of the craft. I’ve been creating all my life, but started going harder and developing myself more as an artist about 8 years ago. My mother sings, my uncle raps, and grandmother writes poetry. Growing up around these people must have put in me to be a creative because i rap/sing as well as song write. I aspire to give the world timeless music to enjoy forever and take care of my family in the process.
What inspires you?
Starting out, the ability to impress others with words inspired me. I could always rap and sing, but was kind of shy. I used to freestyle and never really wrote when i was younger and i would battle people a lot. This gave me more confidence; i would be so motivated by Artist i would listen to, and even more hyped by the lyrical content that it pushed me to be more witty in my delivery. In turn, help to impress others. Afterwards i fell in love with the process of it all and just being able to use my blessing/gift to make the music i love.
What are some of the obstacles you've faced and how has it made you better?
I’ve been through a lot as an artist. Running into people who claim they can help, but really only want your money. Also, learning more about who iyou was as an artist. In the beginning, i had bars but no personality on the track. I had to find myself as an artist, but in the end the journey was worth it because i can always say i know who i truly am.
What is your 5 year plan for your music and for yourself?
My five year plan for Music, is to have accumulated a very large fan base. Showing people that it is possible to come from not understanding how this music industry works or having anybody to push you right off the bat. To being very successful in this business business wise. Being able to feed my family and maintain a happy healthy lifestyle. Allowing Music to become some what of a starting point for other avenues in life. Because I am a actor as well, and plan to expand in other areas of entertainment; using music as a starting point.
What do you want people to takeaway from your music?
I want people to be inspired by my music. I want to help people through my music. Giving the world something they can go to whenever they are down or up. Spreading not just goood Music, but relatable music for the world to vibe too.
Where can people find your music?
My music is on all streaming platforms. My new album is out now entitled “Inkwell”.
