Walk us through your background- Tell us more about you and your music
I'm a R&B/Hip Hop artist from Decatur, Ga. I started doing music in 2008. I've served many roles in the music industry, including Recording Engineer, Producer, Songwriter, and now I collectively use those skills to build my self primarily as a Recording Artist.
What inspires you?
I'm inspired by seeing others face their fears. I believe if one person can show courage and succeed, then it's possible for all of us.
What are some of the obstacles you've faced and how has it made you better?
One obstacle I've faced is balancing my personal life with my music career. I spent so much time locked in studios that I'd forget to pour into myself and my relationships. That focus and isolation made me a very talented creator, but my relationships suffered. Even now it can be tough to find balance, but I've gotten much better at making time for myself and the people I care about.
What is your 5 year plan for your music and for yourself?
In the next 5 years I will be a world-touring artist selling out stadiums. I'm a new studio owner, so I plan to use my facility to kick off my publishing company and sign writers and producers. In the next 5 years, my brand "Layers" will be a household name in apparel and music publishing.
What do you want people to takeaway from your music?
I want people to get healing from my music. We all have our own journey, but we're similar in many ways. When you hear a story that you can relate to and gives you new perspective on a situation it really sticks with you emotionally. I want my music to capture a moment in a person's life that will always be connected to.
Where can people find your music?
