Future R&B star Aisha Bella is taking the music world by storm. Originating from St. Pete, Florida. She is now living in New York City, blazing her own trail and bringing that soul with her. To learn more about her, check out her interview below.

Walk us through your background- Tell us more about you and what you do

I’m a 24 year old, Florida native. I’m from St. Petersburg/Tampa area. I reside in New York City. I’m a R&B singer; music is my passion. Music gets me through my best and worst days.

What inspires you?

I am inspired by experiences. Life is pretty much made up of experiences and how they make you feel. My music is a reflection of my many experiences; I’m a storyteller of my own journey.

What are some of the obstacles you've faced and how has it made you better?

One obstacle I have faced is myself. I’m my biggest critique, doubter, etc. I am still overcoming this obstacle everyday, every moment. It has made me better because I push myself and I have others that push me to be a greater artist. I’ve realized that nothing will ever be perfect in my eyes but I should strive to do my best in every aspect.

What do you think makes your music different from other artist?

My music is different from other artist because it is mine, and no one can make music the way I can. 90s r&b is engraved in my heart so I always want my music to reflect that sexy and chill feel.

It's important to give yourself credit; What do you feel is/are your biggest accomplishment(s) to date?

My biggest accomplishments would be one, definitely graduating college. I’m first gen so it was super important to me. Two, would be stepping out on faith and doing music. My ideal life would be a stable one so to be stable, to me, there are concrete steps. Go to school, get a degree, get a job, get a house, so on and so forth. With music there is no clear path. I had to make myself jump out of my comfort zone.

What are some things that you still want to accomplish?

I want to put out more music and start a business of some sort. A restaurant or wine bar. Something chill where r&b lovers can come and relax.

What new music do you have coming up?

I have an EP dropping soon. I’ve been working really hard on it with a dope producer, Keylow Keem.

What do you want people to takeaway from your music?

I want people to be able to hear not just my experience/life but theirs too. All too often I hear music that just goes with my life at the moment and it stays with me forever. I want my music to be that for someone as well.

Finally, If you had a message to give to any artist coming behind you, what would it be?

I would say, FORGET being realistic go after your dreams! Life is way too short to just want the bare minimum.
