Chillx - The Vybe Lord

Artist Chillx has come and is here with a vengeance. With his project Mamba he has honed in on the Mamba Mentality. With his project being short at only 19 minutes long, that’s all the time he needs to give you a taste of his skills. While rapping he is able to give you punchy hooks over trap drums. Showing his versatility you can hear him on tracks like “Fire & Reign“ and ”Hot gyal” either singing or showing off that Afro- pop inspiration. Looking forward to whatever he releases in the future. Walk us through your background- Tell us more about you and your music

Chillx: I'm originally from upstate New York and raised in the south with a mix of Alabama & Florida. My witty punchlines were developed from east coast rappers while the vybe really upscaled in the south. The versatility makes creating music fun even I don't know how I'm going to approach a track until my vocals hit the Mic. I've been trying to write music since 9 years old replicating what I heard on the radio and telling stories in music like slick rock and dropping gems through songs like Jay z.

What inspires you?

Chillx: Family and my challenges of the past keeps me going. All of this is Simply energy. Transfered from an artist to the world. We have to be careful with he vibrations we emit otherwise we would seriously have a darker time hear on earth.

What are some obstacles that you have faced and how have they made you better?

Chillx: Trying to explode out of small music market like Jacksonville is going to be tough alone. Jealousy and people scared to work together and destroy each other for position is crazy. Years ago I faced heart failure which the the EMT stated that I shouldn't be alive because I don't have a strong pulse. I laughed...thinking this is it I have nothing to leave behind and my daughter will not remember me. I spiritually felt the universe was taking me from one situation to another and reminded I have one life and many other lives to live for I can drop dead at any moment. Health, spirit and family keeps me above any obstacle

What is your 5 year plan for you and your music?

Chillx: I'm not chasing the top artists I'm writing my own story. I want to develop a cult following inspired them to be great and open up different things and create opportunities for the youth from recreation centers to creative anime clubs for kids who are good with art but don't have direction to use it.

What do you want people to takeaway from your music?

Chillx: People will take what they can relate this is an amazing part of being in art. I will always drop gems and inspiration in any type of song. Using my versatility to cross the world and touch many beyond music but using music as a vocal tool. Resilience.

What can people expect from you in the near future?

Chillx: I am ramping to give my fans non stopped consistency eps and collabs with me direct engagement to my fan base.
