Walk us through your background- Tell us more about you and your music
Well at the age of 9 I started writing songs and at the age of 10 I started singing and playing piano. I didn't really get the support I needed to develop these talents but I continued to write. I started getting some real training though in college and got into music production and learned how to use Reason, Logic(still learning btw lol) and got into performance and learned theory as well as the business. I can be a very shy person and I know, I know how the fuck ?? I fear of the feedback that I will get of my sound and my lyrics but once my music comes out I hope everyone can accept me and rock with me!!
What inspires you?
My hardworking mother and my sisters and every single innovative woman especially my melanin woman that's kicking ass that has and is paving the way for others and living their dreams.
What are some of the obstacles you've faced and how has it made you better?
I don't really like to tell people this but this happens everyday and there are people living this life now. My family and I were homeless, this was during my high school days. I just remembered how sad my parents were. I knew my mom was depressed. This wasn't why she came to america she didn't fight to get here to struggle as mush as she did, she came here to live a better life and for her kids to live a better life. I remember when we went months without seeing her because she was working EVERY SINGLE DAY taking double shifts so that we don't have to wake up in someone else's home or motel or shelter or even our van. All the while we're in school living this whole other life like we weren't struggling out here. This situation in my life made me humble and made me patient and really helped me to understand what that meant, it also made me a fighter and taught me to never give up.
What is your 5 year plan for your music and for yourself?
I plan for my music to go international have a tour and give 100% every night. I also plan to have my own recording studio starting out in Orlando, my hometown. There's a lot of amazing talent there. I would love for them to have a place to create. As for myself , Ill just keep grinding and finding news ways to get better mentally and spiritually.
What do you want people to takeaway from your music?
The authenticity, the feel of the music meaning if its a great ass day lets get up and dance type of vibe. Even if its just one of these days where you need someone who can relate to you or to speak to your spirit and uplift you lets just sit down and cry together. Provide a release of all that negative energy.
Where can people find your music?
I don't have any music out just yet but I am currently working on music. I will be announcing dates on my Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.
