When I first heard her flow I swore it was Meg the Stallion, same kind of vibe and style but this rapper DiceTheArtist keeps it H-town in her own way. Something about the women in the south, as they just hold it down different. I'm digging the vibe, hope to hear more from her.

Walk us through your background- Tell us more about you and your music
I'm from Wharton, Tx, a small town outside of Houston. Growing up I always knew I wanted to be a star whether it was music, dancing, acting or sports. I grew up singing in the school choir which led me to believe that one day I would be a singer but that changed once I made it to high school. During high school my dreams of being a star became suppressed by stress, sports, family problems and boy problems. It wasn't until my second semester of my freshman year at Texas State University that I decided that I was going to chase my dreams. I dropped out of school and began working to support myself. During this time I was practicing the Law of Attraction and searching for my passion. One morning when I was coming home from work I was falling asleep while driving when a voice in my head told me to put on a beat, which I did and instantly started writing. Shortly after writing my first song I presented it to a friend who insisted that record it. I then hit a friend up in Houston that let me record at his place and I instantly felt like I'd found what I had been missing.
What inspires you?
I'm inspired by the dream life that I've always wanted to live. I want to live a happy, healthy, wealthy and peaceful life. I want to be surrounded by love and success. I want to be able to buy what I want when I want it, give my family the world, build and give back to communities. Everyday I wake up, I think about the life I want to live and ask myself what am I doing to get closer to that dream.
What are some of the obstacles you've faced and how has it made you better?
An obstacle I've faced is choosing myself. It is so easy to get wrapped up in pleasing other people that you lose sight of what it is that you really want to do. This happened to me when I went to college. I knew I didn't want to go but I still did because that's what everyone expected from me. I have always censored my personality to meet the expectations of others and in the end it left me confused with who I am. I thank God that I took the time out to soul search and realize that my expectations are the only expectations that really matter. If I wouldn't have overcome that obstacle I wouldn't even be doing music right now. I would still be miserable in college.
What is your 5 year plan for your music and for yourself?
In 5 years I plan to be selling out arenas, having multiple hit records and being fully set in my character as DiceTheArtist. I also plan to have a clothing line and an organization that involves making the world a better place by disposing of trash properly and by spreading love, peace and positive energy.
What do you want people to takeaway from your music?
I want people to feel like they can do anything they want, however they want because they are the boss. I want people to feel empowered by my music. I want them to play the song on repeat because the lyrics are fire, not just the beat. I also want them to take away that female artists don't have to talk about sex to get people's attention.
Where can people find your music?
People can find my music on Apple Music, Spotify, Tidal, YouTube and other streaming platforms.
