Walk us through your background- Tell us more about you and your music
My music mainly consists of rap, with Spanish trap tracks coming very soon. I was never raised up in bad neighborhoods, but the people I associate with have been through very tough times and come from rough neighborhoods. Due to this, my rap mainly consists of the situations my friends have gotten into, and how mentally challenging it is to cope with it and how to both console them and try and tell them the errors of their ways. Being born in Barranquilla, Colombia, my Spanish trap will consist of party vibes.
What inspires you?
My first musical inspiration was the Beatles. I started playing the guitar around the 6th grade and I haven't stopped since. Classic rock opened my eyes to music, and from there, I've expanded my range to include rock, rap, country and metal music. My mom is definitely my biggest inspiration. Details on that note are highlighted in the next question.
What are some of the obstacles you've faced and how has it made you better?
Being born in a poor neighborhood in Colombia, my birth parents were not in the financial stability needed to support a child. Immediately after I was born, I was given up for adoption. Thankfully, God placed me in a loving and supportive family. While my rap doesn't mirror the values that my family honors, my family has been nothing but supportive of my dreams and passions. I've tried to make my rap cleaner and more about better things instead of the whole gangbanging and womanizing vibes. My adoptive mother was in an abusive relationship before she adopted me. Her mindset going into the adoption process after her divorce was, "If I can't find a real man in this world, then I'm gonna raise one." That struck me hard, and I realized music could be my way of giving my mom everything she's ever wanted and more. To sum it all up, these obstacles in my life are in no way to be viewed as a sob story or me just trying to make people feel for me. It's what's made me who I am, and what's opened my eyes to both the horrors and the blessings that life has to offer. Keeping these things in mind, while also thanking God for all the blessings he's granted me, I've used these occurrences in my life as motivation to be a better son, man and artist.
What is your 5 year plan for your music and for yourself?
Throughout the next 5 years in my music journey, all I want to see is growth in myself and in society. I've quickly realized that while rap is very lyrical and poetic, it can be used to send the wrong messages. Unfortunately, these messages are what society has adapted to. My main goal is to make people feel comfortable to pursue their dreams. As far as my personal growth goes , my intended major until now is Criminal Justice. I hope to be a crime scene investigator in the near future.
What do you want people to takeaway from your music?
I want people to take away a good time with my music. My music embodies chill and party vibes. With my upcoming tracks, I sincerely believe that if they're played at a party, it'll get people either up and dancing, or singing together in unison.
Where can people find your music?
People can find my music on SoundCloud right now, but in the next few months, I'll be on other platforms such as Spotify and Apple Music.
