Rick Ross I think, one of the great underrated legends of this generation has released another project in highly anticipated Port of Miami 2. POM2 as a sequel, although it could never out beat POM1, it held it's own.
With features from Wale, Meek Mill & Gunplay it ensures that the MMG family is still in tact. Although my expectations for this tape were high I wasn’t completely disappointed. At a little over an 1 hour, the album seemed lengthy at some points, but some of my favorite features from the album came from artist like Summer Walker and Denzel Curry. Besides the singles that were already out, there weren’t too many others that stood out besides maybe Running the Streets , and Bogus Charms.
As a whole, Rick Ross continues his soulful elegance as he evolves in his musical career. Although I don’t think this album was the best that he could do, he’s definitely not slowing down anytime soon and he has brought us back to the things that we love about him. As an artist he has definitely etched his name in the Hall of fame.
Favorite tracks : Gold Roses, Summer Reign
Runner‘s up: Running the Streets, I Still Pray & Bogus Charms
