Baby Face 'VERZUZ' Teddy Riley Instagram Live Rematch: Who Won?

At this very moment, I think we’ve just reached the pinnacle of Instagram lives, and they just keep getting better.

Baby Face vs. Teddy Riley (Part 2) lived up to it’s name. After a disastrous first attempt a few nights ago, followed by countless memes of what looks to be Uncle Teddy in a velvet tracksuit at a BBQ waiting for the ribs to cook. I think this was a great comeback (well almost.)

This live was filled with back to back to back bangerz by both superstar producers along with more technical difficulties (Sorry, Uncle Teddy), but did just what it was supposed to do. For those who were young during the initial release of these songs, it brought back Middle School & High school nostalgia. But for those (like myself) who may not have been old enough to recollect or experience this, it brought us a glimpse of a better time in music.

In what seemed to be the most popular live of this decade, Face vs. Riley amassed well over 500,000 fans, celebs and viewers from all over. Some of the celebrities in attendance were, Gabrielle Union, Tyrese, Charlamagne tha God, Michelle Obama, Baller Alert, Verdine White, the NBA, Kirk Franklin, Def Jam, 2 Chainz, Pastor John Gray and so many others. And as a fan, they gave us what we wanted. It even made some of us remember what we forgot or learn what we never knew. We even got an unexpected guitar solo from Baby Face himself.

Although announcing a winner would be hard as this was so very close. I think just due to his poise and lack of technical difficulties (And shade) Baby Face came out in the lead. Teddy Riley played so much music that it took us to places we so forgot, but in the midst of his screen freezing and him looking for his charger (also I’m pretty sure he’s gonna fire some people tomorrow *FACE Palm*) I think Baby Face stole the show. In the end Riley was still able to redeem himself and that’s what we enjoyed.
